Dr. Jesse Ohl, Associate Professor of Communication, University of Alabama,
Dr. Hee Lee, Professor and Endowed Academic Chair, School of Social Work, University of Alabama and President of AAPI
Mrs. Ruby Simon, Director of Murphy African American Museum,
Mrs. Julia Sosa, Registered Dietitian and Prenatal Coordinator at Whatley Health Services in Tuscaloosa and
Chairman of the Tuscaloosa Latino Coalition.
Rev. Dr. Thaddeus Steele, Pastor of Hunter Chapel AME Zion Church, Assistant Professor Stillman College,
Executive Director Thriving in Ministry, son of a Civil Rights Foot Soldier and Member of the
Board of Directors Tuscaloosa Civil Rights History and Reconciliation Foundation.
There will be an intermission with refreshments. A question-and-answer session and an open conversation with the audience will conclude the event. The focus of the event is to further promote an inclusive dialogue and to build an understanding of this complex world in terms of liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The ultimate goal is to build empathy towards diverse perspectives and experiences.
