Carol Caffee,
BBI4RR Founder & President

Retiring after forty years, I returned to my home town of Tuscaloosa and became a business owner and community activist in Racial Reconciliation. I am the current Founder of Building Bridges Institute for Racial Reconciliation. I call myself an anti-racist racist, acknowledging that I am a firsthand witness to the fact that racism is real, having grown up in a racist family and culture of the South.   I also am a witness to the transformation and even the elimination of racism when positive dialogue and openness to understand are practiced.  Racism work is a continuous journey and I believe others are eager to move towards unity.  With this in mind, I am committed to the essential task of continuing my own self-reflection and working with others to create in Tuscaloosa, and even the country, the promise of liberty and justice for all.
